FundAdminChain (FAC) is pleased to welcome Reyer Kooy as a full-time member of the team, stepping in as Program Manager, overseeing the programs to productionise the tokenisation of mutual and private funds. Reyer was previously a Managing Director with Deutsche Bank/DWS, having also served as a Director (and former Chairman) of the Institutional Money Money Market Funds Association (IMMFA), and also as a Director of Deutsche’s own Irish MMF.
He has been a non-executive Advisor to FAC for over a year already, helping shape the strategy and deliverables for the company.
Reyer has been long convinced of the transformative potential of distributed ledger technology and tokenisation for the investment management industry.
Reyer commented “conventional investment funds remain a highly attractive vehicle for fund managers and their investors. However, the multi-layered operating environment, on legacy platforms, with the higher costs and inefficiencies, risks the very future of the funds industry in the face of new competitive forces. The FAC network is set to transform the operating environment for investment funds for the benefit of all stakeholders and to ensure the investment funds remain attractive and compatible with the digital age.”
Brian McNulty, FAC CEO added: “We are delighted Reyer has joined full time. Transformative initiatives such as FAC require a blend of expert business, technology and regulatory expertise and Reyer will add significant value as we push forward in scaling FAC for the benefit of Fund Managers, Fund Service Providers and end investors on the FAC network”.
